THE PAIDEIA GROUP
In 1982, Paideia's original thinker, philosopher Mortimer Adler, joined with a diverse cadre of educators and intellectuals to form the Paideia Group.

The Paideia Proposal (1982) This original manifesto outlines twelve Paideia principals; proposes the proper relationship between three types of teaching: didactic instruction, coaching of intellectual skills, and seminar discussion; and describes the resulting gains in enhanced literacy, problem solving, and thinking skills.
The Paideia Program(1984)
The express purpose of this book is to provide a "detailed description of a Paideia school" and includes essays by members of the Paideia Group on all aspects of curriculum and structure.
