ASSESSMENT TRAINING

The National Paideia Center offers two standard training options focused on Assessment:

  1. “Assessment in the Paideia Classroom”
  2. “Assessment in the Paideia School”

“Assessment in the Paideia Classroom” is applicable to teachers with some previous Paideia training and includes analysis of assessment tools and processes appropriate for the three columns of instruction. The training objectives for “Assessment in the Paideia Classroom” are for all participants to:

  • differentiate between the terms assessment and evaluation
  • to practice applying the assessment cycle to their course
  • to understand the importance of quantitative and qualitative data

“Assessment in the Paideia School” is geared for administrators and school leaders. The training objectives for Assessment in the Paideia School are for all participants to;

  • know the Paideia Assessment Cycle
  • to practice utilizing appropriate assessment tools and processes
  • to understand the relationship between assessment, school culture and leadership
