"Shared thoughts and feelings, understood agreements and disagreements, make humans the only animals that genuinely commune with one another. ... The human community would not exist without such communion, which would not exist without human conversation."
(Adler, 1983, How to Speak, How to Listen)

The Annual Paideia Conference

Habits of Mind for a Good Life was the theme of the 2009 Annual Paideia Conference. Educators attending at the annual event shared inspiring insights about the implementation of the Paideia philosophy in the real world of public schools. By practicing thinking, we nurtured the sustainable health of both the individual and community.

We celebrated our 20th year of existence at the historic Graylyn International Conference Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina this past March in 2009 during the Annual Paideia Conference. For more information  visit the 2009 Annual Paideia Conference information page.
